Astronomy Science ~ HIP 85 605 suddenly became famous because this star is expected to crash into our Solar System is based on a paper by Dr. Coryn Bailey-Jones from the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany.

HIP 85 605 Star estimated a red dwarf star or orange dwarfs within 16 light years (4.9 parsecs) from the Sun in the Hercules constellation. This star has an apparent magnitude 11:03. HIP 85 605 is one of the two stars that form a binary system.

Data observation of this star is still little known. This is due to the small size (dwarf) and is located quite far away (16 light years). This star is estimated temperature of about 4700 kelvin and luminos only 0,001 of the Sun but the mass is still unknown.

It is estimated that this star could be approached about 0.13 light years (0.04) from Earth, or the equivalent of 8,000 times the distance between Earth and the Sun (8.000 AU). If this is true, the effect of HIP 85 605 gravity will disrupt the orbits of comets in the Oort cloud and caused some of them to enter the inner Solar System.
Keep in mind that the distance of the Oort cloud to the Sun is only 20,000 and 50,000 AU while the HIP 85 605 is expected to be passed at a distance of 8.000 AU. Many of these planetesimals can be thrown into the space, but others can be sent hurtling towards to Earth.

Although this news sounds very spooky and scary, we do not worry. The reason that this new star will pass close to our solar system is about 240,000 to 470,000 years. Not in the near future. The comet also took millions of years of travel to arrive in the inner solar system and the Earth.

But, if the man was still there at the time of this incident, it certainly will create inconvenience for the residents of Earth.
