Astronomy Science ~ Astronomers have discovered a giant planet with four suns within only 125 light-years from Earth in the constellation Aries. The planet is at least 10 times bigger Jupiter and scientists say that the planet is a gas planet so we can not stand on it. But, if you can fly a spacecraft into the atmosphere, you will see the primary sun, bright red dot, and another star that shines brighter than Venus in the night sky of Earth.

Four parent star would look like a small sun and the two stars are very bright to be visible in daylight. One of the stars, when viewed with a telescope large enough, will look into a binary system, or two stars orbiting each other. "It will depend on what kind of sky that you have, but it is likely that at least one of them will look at a certain time," said Lewis Roberts, an astronomer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, who helped found the rare four-star system.

Astronomers find a system known as 30 Ari few years ago, but until recently they thought it consisted of one planet and three stars. They were only able to see a fourth star in the system after the pair telescope at the Palomar Observatory in San Diego with adaptive optics system Robo-AO.

Adaptive optics allows ground-based telescopes to "see" better by eliminating the effect of the atmosphere which causes the stars appear to look like he was twinkling. "You almost can get quality as obtained from telescopes in space," said Roberts. "So now we can choose a faint star that can not be seen before."

In a paper published in the Astronomical Journal, the researchers describe 30 Ari as a binary system. A big planet around a star known as 30 Ari B, takes about 355 days to complete its orbit. A new star was found locked in a gravitational dance with 30 Ari B from a distance of less than 30 astronomical units away. (One astronomical unit is the distance between the sun and earth).

Around 1,670 AU away, is a pair of stars in the system known as 30 Ari A. Both of these binary systems orbiting the center of mass lies between them. Only one other planet in a four-star system that has been found before, but Roberts said that the possibility of planets in systems other 4 will soon be in detection.
